Guidance Through Experience

I was born into an entrepreneurial family in Sweden and moved to the United States at five years old as my father pursued the American dream and worked to grow his business in New York.

Watching him build relationships, serve customers, and genuinely invest in people shaped the way I view business today. But what stayed with me most wasn’t just how he treated customers—it was how he treated people, period.

No matter what meeting he was in or what deal he was negotiating, he always answered the phone when I called. He had been known to step out of boardrooms with major hotel brands, including Hilton, simply to take a call from me.

From the moment cell phones existed, I lived in his contact list as “QB”—short for Queen Bee, of course.

Looking back, I realize those moments taught me something far greater than business strategy. They taught me that success and human connection should never exist separately. That people want to feel seen, valued, prioritized, and understood—whether in leadership, business, or life.

I learned early that behind every business interaction is a person—with a story, a family, challenges, goals, and experiences that shape how they move through the world.

That perspective became the foundation for Experience First Co.

For more than 18 years, I’ve worked across growth-stage companies in health and wellness, tech, and fintech, leading customer-focused strategy and operational initiatives. Throughout those years, I’ve partnered closely with teams across marketing, finance, operations, product development, and support to help companies build stronger systems, scalable processes, and more intentional customer journeys.

Over time, one thing became incredibly clear: the strongest businesses are built with people in mind.

I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the connection between strong leadership, intentional systems, and the way people ultimately feel when interacting with a company. I’ve also seen the ripple effect that disconnected decision-making can have—not only on customers, but on employees, culture, and long-term growth.

But this work became personal long before it became professional.

I became a mother while still in college studying business and quickly found myself navigating the competing demands of motherhood, work, school, and adulthood all at once. Today, I’m thriving in my second marriage while raising five children in a blended family and navigating the complexities that come with modern family life, co-parenting, leadership, ambition, and personal growth.

As a lifelong people pleaser, I’ve had to intentionally learn how to create more structure, boundaries, and alignment in both my personal and professional life.

That journey ultimately inspired Her Life. Fully Built—a space designed for high-performing women carrying full lives behind the scenes and looking to build lives that feel more intentional, grounded, and sustainable.

Today, through both consulting and coaching, my work centers around helping companies and women create stronger foundations, clearer systems, and more thoughtful ways of moving through work and life.

Because the way people feel matters.
In business, in leadership, and in life.

With Gratitude,

Sue Marie Rabin (“Queen Bee”)
